Trish started training dogs, professionally, in 1976 after successful completion of a trainer's course by a well known movie animal trainer. Since then, she has continued her education with seminars, conferences, and workshops all over the country. She has attended presentations by some of the world's leading trainers and behaviorists, such as Dr. Ian Dunbar ; THE pioneer of puppy training and internationally acclaimed trainer, author and speaker, Suzanne Clothier; renown author, trainer and advocate for dogs in their workings with humans, Dr. R.K. Anderson; AMAZING man who helped develop the rabies vaccine and pioneered the use of positive training while handling even the most dangerous of dogs, Dr. Anderson is also the driving force behind the Gentle Leader and the Easy walk Harness, Mary Ray; the top Canine Freestyle, Obedience and Agility trainer in Great Britain, and many others. She has also attended many veterinary behavior seminars, especially through the Western States Veterinary Conferences.
Trish has dedicated most of her life to being the best trainer she can be and that means, sometimes, admitting that there is a better way. As she learns from her mentors and continuing education, she changes and modifies her training methods, always striving for the best results in both relationship and compliance.
